Chair Covers for Celebrations — Hired or Made for the House
La Couverta dresses celebrations in country houses, hotels and clubs: floor-length chair covers from a well-kept rental collection, and bespoke commissions for tables that return every year. On request we take care of the quiet logistics — delivery, dressing, steaming and collection. We work in Hamburg, in Schleswig-Holstein and, on request, across Germany; for the rental collection we recommend a lead time of eight weeks, for bespoke commissions three to four months.
The rental collection
Floor-length covers for country houses, hotels and clubs
Hiring chair covers at La Couverta means: floor-length covers in heavy linen or half-panama, in a quiet colour card from ivory to sage. The collection is cut for common banquet and stacking chairs and is cleaned, checked and steamed back into storage after every hire.
Whether the covers fit your chairs we check in advance: with measurements or a sample cover we send to the house. This way, on the day of the celebration, no chair stands in the wrong size. For weddings, anniversaries and parties — from twenty chairs to the full table of a country house. The bespoke commission
For celebrations that return
Some tables come back every year: the summer party of the house, the dinner that opens the season, the Christmas meal of the club. For such occasions we make a dedicated wardrobe of covers to measure — measured on the chairs of the house, with an inverted pleat in the floor-length fall, on request with a monogram or crest from the embroidery in St. Gallen.
The patterns stay in the pattern archive. If a cover is lost next year or twelve chairs are added, we deliver without a new appointment — in the same fabric, from the same hand.
The banquet service
The complete table, from one hand
To the cover belongs the table: table skirts for assembled banquet tables, cloths and runners in Belgian linen, napkins with a monogram. We coordinate fabric and colour with the floristry and the service — directly with your team or with the house’s suppliers. On request we dress the table ourselves the evening before.

Three further lines
Three further lines of the rental collection
Staging. For properties on the market we put together a furniture and textile package: covers, cushions, table linen and runners that give empty rooms a quiet order. The hire runs by the month; the audience is agents and owners who want to show a property at its best. The textile sets for this are under home staging.
Shooting. For photo and film productions we lend pieces from the collection by the day — table skirts, cloths, covers, cushions. In return for a credit (“Textiles: La Couverta”) we offer special terms.
House wardrobe on lease. For houses that change their rooms with the year, we agree a summer and a winter set as an annual arrangement: changeover, cleaning and storage are included. In spring the light one arrives, in autumn the heavy one — cleaned, checked, laid.

The quiet logistics
Delivered, dressed, steamed, collected
A celebration has too few hands as it is. That is why, if wished, we work as quiet logistics in the background: we deliver at the agreed time, dress the chairs, steam the fabric in the rows and lay the table linen — the final fitting on site as a service for your celebration. After the celebration we collect everything, outside the hours your guests are in the house.

What does it cost to hire chair covers for a celebration?
Every piece is priced according to fabric and workmanship. You receive a fixed quote after the first meeting.
Can I hire chair covers for a wedding?
Yes. The rental collection comprises floor-length covers in a quiet colour card for common banquet and stacking chairs. For an enquiry, the date, the quantity and a photo of the chair are enough; whether the model fits we settle with a sample cover on site.
How far in advance should I enquire?
For the rental collection we recommend eight weeks of lead time, and more in the months from May to September. A bespoke commission for your house takes three to four months from the first meeting to the final fitting on site.
Who dresses the chairs and steams the covers?
On request, our team: we deliver, dress the chairs, steam the creases out of the fabric and collect everything after the celebration — outside the hours your guests are in the house.
Are the covers also available to buy?
Yes. Country houses, hotels and clubs have their wardrobe of covers made by us as a bespoke commission — with the monogram or crest of the house, if wished. The patterns stay in the pattern archive; a top-up delivery the following year needs no new appointment.
