Rental
Rental — Textile Couture for a Time
La Couverta lends sets made in its own atelier: floor-length chair covers, table linen and table skirts for weddings and celebrations, and textile sets for home staging — made from the same fabrics and with the same care as our bespoke work. We take care of cleaning, care and storage; you use the pieces for the agreed time and return them afterwards. For rentals we recommend enquiring nine to fifteen months before the date, and earlier in the season; terms are available on request as a fixed quote after the first meeting.
The idea
The same hand, the same fabrics — for a time
Not every table needs ownership, and not every property stays. For occasions that pass — the wedding at the country house, the season’s celebration, the apartment on the market — we keep hire sets that were made in the same atelier as our bespoke work: in Belgian linen, half-panama and wool weaves, cut for common shapes, worked with the inverted pleat in the floor-length fall and the signature seam at the hem.
After every hire the pieces are cleaned, checked and steamed back into storage. Return and care are included — you give back what you have used, and we take care of the rest.
Two ways
For weddings and celebrations — and for home staging
Weddings and celebrations
Hire chair covers and table linen: floor-length covers in white and natural tones, table skirts, cloths and runners — with delivery, the final fitting on site on request and collection after the celebration.
Home staging
Textile sets for properties on the market: cushions, throws, table linen and curtains, matched to the colour concept — for stagers, agents and developers.
Hire or buy
Ownership is not always the right answer
The difference lies in time: buying is worthwhile for what stays — the banquet set that returns every year, the house’s wardrobe of covers whose patterns lie in the pattern archive and whose top-up delivery needs no new appointment. A bespoke commission usually takes six to ten weeks and accompanies you for years.
Hiring is worthwhile for what passes — the one-time occasion, the property that stands empty again after the sale. With a rental, storage and care on your side disappear: the atelier remains the owner and carries both. The lead times are shorter than for a bespoke commission because the sets lie ready; we still recommend an early enquiry so that your date is reserved. What we make to measure you will find on the Celebrations page and among the atelier’s services.
Questions and answers
Frequently asked questions
What does a hire set mean at La Couverta?
A hire set is a group of textile pieces from our atelier — chair covers with table linen for a celebration, for example, or cushions, throws and curtains for a property on the market. The pieces remain the property of the atelier; you use them for the agreed time, and cleaning, care and storage are ours.
What does the rental cost?
Every set is priced according to scope, fabric and hire period. Terms are available on request — as a fixed quote after the first meeting.
How far in advance should I enquire?
For weddings and celebrations we recommend nine to fifteen months of lead time, because the season's dates are booked early. For home staging we arrange the set on shorter notice — depending on the property, a few weeks are enough.
What happens if a piece is damaged?
Simply speak to us. Whatever can be cleaned or put right in the atelier, we put right ourselves; only in the case of a loss or damage that cannot be repaired do we agree an arrangement. Signs of use within the occasion are part of the hire.
